New Year – New Music

Ensemble88 opens the musical year 2026 with its New Year’s concert “New Year – New Music” – combining baroque splendor with contemporary curiosity. The focus is on the rarely heard triple harp, played virtuosically by Belgian harpist Lise Vandersmissen.
Baroque solo works for triple harp span the historical arc, in which new compositions by KL-EX composers Wolfgang Delnui, Paul Pankert, and Christian Klinkenberg unfold their sound worlds. The works, written especially for triple harp, flute, percussion, and violin, build a lively bridge between past and present.

Musicians:
Lise Vandersmissen (triple harp)
Anne Davids (flute)
Jan van den Boomen (percussion)

A concert that awakens musical curiosity and celebrates the diversity of sound languages – with an ensemble that stands for artistic quality and programmatic joy of discovery.
