This concert is the result of an intensive Euregional collaboration between Ensemble 88 from Maastricht and the Laps Ensemble from Liège. Both ensembles share a long tradition of performing and developing new music, with a particular focus on the interplay between instrumental sound and live electronics.
The six composers featured in this program—Rutger Muller, Vykintas Baltakas, Claude Ledoux, Geoffrey François, Gilles Doneux, and Paul Pankert—demonstrate the diversity of contemporary music practice in the Meuse-Rhine Euregio. Their work reflects diverse approaches to sound exploration, technological integration, and collaboration with performing musicians. Some are closely connected to the regional music scene, others operate internationally, but all contribute to a vibrant and cross-border network of composers and performers.
